Tears

March 11, 2010, Mom and dad told us the bad news. Bad news of all bad news. That is, no chance for my mom to survive "cancer" due to its complications.

December 30, 2009, she was scheduled for an operation for hysterectomy. The doctor called us (my dad and I) and requested for us to go to the operating room. We were shocked when the doctor told us that they found a huge tumor on my mom's cervix. Then, she was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer stage II-B.

We decided to look for another doctor for second opinion. The second doctor, confirmed the diagnosis and scheduled my mom for lots of laboratory tests.

After that, she was scheduled for radio theraphy and chemo therapy.

After 1 month, she lose weight, I couldn't look at her face, 'coz it feels like it's not her. So pale..

I am used to see her rosy cheeks, her beautiful eyes and her sweet smile. I am used to hear her very loud voice.. but after that diagnosis, all I hear is crying, all I see is tears..

She was hospitalized after few theraphy, she can't stand the pain. Her potassium went down and her sugar went up and down. She'd also undergone blood transfusion.

After 1 week or so, she went back home, a little happy face and a very big hope. She was confident that she can continue her theraphy. But after several weeks, she was rushed back to the hospital, co'z her stromach is no longer accepting any kinds of food, even water.

She'd undergone blood transfusion again and this time, there was a tube connected to her veins for food 'coz she couldn't eat. There was also a tube on her nose, connected to her stomach.

Yesterday, March 11, 2010, my brother fetched me and Stephen at our office to visit our mom. I'm thinking of surprising her 'coz I didn't texted that we were going to the hospital.
But it looks like she is really waiting for us.

She looks fine to me, aside from those tube, she can still talk and she can still move. I'm thinking that she would be discharged soon.

But I was all wrong, they informed us that her illness is no longer curable. Her cancer is now on Stage III-C to 4.

And because of radiation, her intestines are getting smaller. All her organs are no longer functioning properly.

I started to cry, wishing that what I'm hearing are not real. Wishing to wake up from this bad dream...but no,, this is not just a dream.

My mom started to cry, begging us to brought her home as she doesn't want to wait for that "time" to come in the hospital. My dad promised her that he would be talking to the doctor and request for discharged order.

I still can't believe what is happening. My mom started to tell everything she wanted to say. All her "bilins". She also told us how much she loves us.

I can feel that she's ready to come back to God. I know I have to be ready too when that time comes.

But for now, I can't imagine my life without her...

I always admire her for being so brave, so nice and very understanding mother and wife. I know it wouldn't feel the same without her around.

And now, while she's still here, I would try to do everything she wants us to do.. give her everything she wants..


And while she's still here..I know there is still hope.

At eto na nga..tapos na ang 5 days Sick Leave ko. Back to reality. Pero teka, bago ako bumalik sa buhay call center, balikan muna natin ang mga nangyari sa 5 days vacation ko.


1. Naloka ako sa kakulitan ng anak ko. Di ko akalain na ganon na pla sya kakulit at kalikot. Takbo ron, takbo rito. Pero sabi nga nila, ganon talaga, lalo na sa edad nya, kalikutan daw. Pero minsan napipikon ako, napapalo ko sya :( pero after ko paluin naaawa naman ako.

Magagawa mo bang magalit dito?

2. Nasanay na akong maligo ng tanghali, hehe. Dati kase laging gabi ako kung maligo.

3. Nakabisado ko na ang dramarama sa hapon.

4. Nakabisado ko na ang lahat ng cartoons na pinapanood ni Andrei

Bago magsimula, kailangan mo munang sabihin ang Magic Word...Ito ay ang "mishka muska mickey mouse", after non unti-unti ng lalabas ang bahay ni Mickey Mouse at ipapakilala na rin ang mga characters.

At pano ko ba makakalimutan ang isa pang magic word, "oh toodles" na parang bag ni Dora, kung ano -anong laman na makakatulong sa adventures nila Mickey Mouse. Ang pinagkaiba lng, hindi sya bag, hehe, korteng ulo ni Mickey Mouse na bigla-biglang sumusulpot pag tinatawag ni Mickey Mouse.

Pocoyo

Ang cute- cute ni Pocoyo. Kahit di sila nagsasalita ng mga friends nyang sina Pato (duck), Elly (Pink elephant) and Sleepy Bird (teal-coloured bird). Nakakatulong daw to sa preschool education, so good for Andrei :)

Ang pinakagusto ko dito, pag Spotlight Moment na nya. Ung mga sinasabi nya ung mga things that he'd learned or something like that.

Dibo The Gift Dragon

Akala ko kung ano ung kinakanta ni Andrei na "Didibongding Dibo Diboding" haha, kaaliw. Theme song pla un ni Dibo, isang friendly purple dinosaur. LOL


5. Sabay naming napanood ni Andrei ang pilot episode ng Jungle Junction. Sad to say, di nya gaanong type.


6. Kumakain ako ng 3-times a day (bukod pa ung meryenda). Dati kase breakfast and dinner lng. Tulog kse ako pag lunch time :D


7. 8pm pa lng tulog nako. Haha, goodluck sa kin pagbalik ko sa trabaho :(


8. Naaasikaso ko si Andrei, kaso lng syempre, limited pa ung pwede kong gawin, like, di ko pa sya pedeng kargahin, mga ganon.


9. 1 week akong naka daster. Ngayon ko lng ulit nagawa un. Nung una kong ginawa un nung preggy ako.

10. Ang saya-saya ko :D


Yan nga. Ung iba di ko na ilalagay, masyado ng marami eh. Sana magbakasyon ulit ako. Pero ayoko ng Sick Leave. Gusto ko bonggang Vacation Leave :D

Ouch!! yan ang masasabi ko..super sakit kase ng kamay ko sa dami ng tusok. Pano ba naman di maikabit ang lintek na dextrose.

February 27, right after Stephen's b-day, I was scheduled to undergone D&C procedure.. nakakatakot pakinggan, pero infairness wala akong naramdaman :)

I was confined for 2 days in Marikina Valley Hospital. Syempre, napakatagal ng proseso bago ako ma-admit kahit na may admitting slip naman from the doctor.

At yun nga..3pm kami dumating don, naiakyat ako a room ko ng 5pm. tagal db?...


At syempre, di ako sa ER kinabitan ng IV..so pagpasok ko ng room, andyan na ang mga nurse para ikabit ang IV ko. Di sila makakita ng ugat sa kanay ko, kaya hirap na hirap silang magkabit ng IV. nakadalawang subok na pero la pa rin..nakakaiyak ang sakit :(

6:30pm, ng may kumatok sa kwarto ko, un na pla ung maghahatid sa kin sa OR..nyi..kinakabahan ako, pero di ko nlng pinahalata. galing ng nurse sa OR,,naikaibit nya ung dextrose ko, hehe


Pagkakabit ng dextrose, dinala na ko sa isa sa mga kwarto sa OR, at don habang nakahiga ako, chinika ako ng mga nurses at anesthesiologist. Bait nila grabe. Lalo na ung anesthesiologist. At un nga, tinurukan nako ng pampatulog, pero pinilit kong di makatulog kahit liku-liko na paningin ko,, hehe

Ang masakit na part, ung pagturok ng anesthesia sa skeleton, sa lower back. ang sakit,, nakailang tusok sila :(

at yun nga..wala nakong namalayan, hahaha.

After 30 minutes yta, natapos na ung procedure, ang bilis, so eto na po ang matagal na paghihintay sa recovery room.

Sa recovery room, sumakit ung braso ko sa nakakabit na pang BP, ang ganda ha, automatic, hehe kusang mag checheck ng BP at tutunog kung malakas hehe.

Nakakasulasok din ung oxygen na nakakabit sa kin, pero nakatulong sya kase medyo prng kinakapos ako ng hininga.

11pm nako nakabalik ng room....at pagdating ko, bawala pa tumayo at umupo, so hanggang 6am nakahiga lng ako :(

We kissed 'coz we just turned three!

Stephen and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary over a simple breakfast at Chocolate Kiss. Since super lapit naman nito sa office namin, dito na namin napiling mag breakfast. Actually that was the second time that I visited that cafe.

Stephen's shift ended up at 7:00am. He went straight to UP Ayala from Libis para sunduin ako. Then we headed straight to CHOCOLATE KISS ♥

Then one of the waiters came in and handed us the menu.. hmmmm... daming choices. Kaya lng since breakfast lng ang gusto namin, hindi na kami tumingin ng iba.

Stephen ordered beef tapa (Thin slices of beef sirloin marinated in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and fresh ground pepper) and I ordered chicken and prok adobo (Chicken and pork marinated and cooked in soy sauce, vinegar and garlic then flaked and fried until crispy)



Uhmm...di ako natuwa sa kinain ko, hehehe

By the way, all Filipino Breakfast are served with garlic rice, tomatoes and fried or salted egg. for only P165.00. Very affordable right? *winks*

They are not offering single-served iced tea. Laging bottomless. Worth it naman kase sobrang sarap ng iced tea nila. They have this honey na ititimpla mo sa iced tea depending on your taste. Affordable din sya. PHP65 lng :D

Di na kami nag dessert sa cafe kase baka hinihintay na kmi ni Andrei. We just ordered one slice of Quezo Chiffon cake (Light textured chiffon cake with butter icing and Quezo de Bola) to go. Per slice is PHP65.

We just paid PHP525 for all of those foods.

huhmm.. pricey..hehe

But it's okay, atleast nakapag celebrate kami kahit papano.

November 2009

After ilang months ng pangungulit ko kay Stephen, at last, pumayag din siyang magtravel kami. Sa isang kondisyon, sa Bohol dapat kami pupunta, dahil mas gusto nya don over Boracay.

We searched for the cheapest air fare. Mura lng ung airfare sa PAL kaya lng goodluck naman, 7Am ung flight. So we chose Cebu Pacific. Our travel date is Nov 13-16, 4D/2N itech..yey!!

So I filed for a VL (vacation leave), I filed for Nov 13 and Nov 16. Bago dumating ang araw ng bakasyon ay nakabisado ko na yata ang lahat ng pwedeng puntahan sa Bohol pati na rin ang mapa nito .. hehe..at hindi lang un...alam ko na rin ang history ng bawat lugar don at pati na rin ang mga pangalan ng resort.

And that day came, after shift ay sinundo nila ko sa office, diretso na kami sa airport. Our departure was at 12n, so may time pa kami mag late breakfast and early lunch *winks*

At syempre, dahil we chose Cebu Pacific, delayed a flight namin..haha pero ok lang kse less than 1 hour lng naman ...(toinks!)

After more than 1 hour na flight, dumating din kami sa Tagbilaran airport. Naloka ako kse makulimlim :( kala ko masisira ung bakasyon namin. Pero sabi nun sumundo sa amin, ganon daw talaga pag hapon. Kaya ok...

Bago kami dumiretso sa resort ay nagpadaan muna kami kay manong driver sa grocery to buy something like, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, milk ni andrei, plastic cups and plates, coffee, chips, biscuits at kung anu-ano pa.

And then we headed straight to the resort.

Alona Pyramid Resort

Yan ang pinili naming resort. Isa sa dahilan ay dahil ito lang ang may malaking space ng room that can accommodate all 5 of us with 1 chikiting.

We rented for one cottage which is right beside the beach. So beachfront ang drama namin hehe.

Their cottages are 2-storey. So ung ni-rent namin, good for 4 pax lang, since 5 kami, extra bayad nalang for extra pax :)

Sa first floor, nandon ung sala set, ref at toilet and bath with hot and cold shower. Sa 2nd floor may 2 double-sized bed, closet, cable TV, safety deposit box and a very beautiful veranda overlooking the beach with 2-kawayan beachbeds (huh?)

At free wi-fi connection pa, so magagamit ko ng bongga ang laptop ko na di na kailangang gumamit ng Globe tattoo kong bulok..hmft!!

It was for PHP6300/night if I'm not mistaken and 500/night for extra pax. Free breakfast din pala kaso for 2 persons lang. One way transfer is also free and part of the package. So we just pay for our transfer to airport from the resort na lang for PHP700.

Ok naman sya, ang babait din ng mga staff at masarap sila magluto *winks*

Wala akong tulog, kaya madali akong nakatulog :D. I woke up at 7pm. Nagising ako kase nagugutom nako. So baba muna kami ni Stephen para tingnan kung san masarap kumain. Ganon pla don pag gabi, daming nagtitinda ng mga seafoods paluto.

Ung price nya is per kilo at sasabihin mo lang kung anong gusto mong luto. Halos lahat ng resort ganon ang gimik.

Pero we still chose to eat at Alona Pyramid grill. After kumain ay naglakad-lakad muna kami. Tapos akyatan na ulit para magpahinga..haha

After mag breakfast, Stephen and I decided to walk. Uhm..medyo exercise ng konti.

After maglakad-lakad ay bumalik na kami sa resort to take a bath. Kase 10am ang usapan namin ni RJ. Sya ung tour guide namin. He offered us PHP2200 for city tour.

Exactly 10am, tumunog ang cellphone ko. nagtxt na si RJ, so punta na kami sa Alona kew dahil don lang may daan palabas.. Alona Kew is like 3 resorts away from Alona Pyramid.

And then, there was RJ. Bata pa pla tong si RJ, uhm...kaedad ko yata....(so bata pa ko?)

Super nice nya. He took us first to tarsier sanctuary. Ang cute naman pla talaga nila. Walang entrance fee but you can give a donation *winks*

After tarsier sanctuary, diretso na kami sa Loboc river. PHP300 ung fee dito for Buffet lunch and of course river cruise. We paid of course for RJ's lunch :)

Kahit di pa nag sstart ung cruise, pede nang kumain. Sayang wala akong pictures nung mga food na nasa buffet table. Pero karamihan mga seafoods. Buffet ung food pero sad to say limited and softdrinks.

You need to choose from bottled water or bottled softdrinks. I chose bottled water.

Busai

Sabi ni Rj, falls means Busai daw sa mga boholano, so when you say Busai falls, you are being redundant *winks*

May nagpe-perform din pla sa Loboc River. Wala silang bayad pero syempre may donations. Ang galing galing nilang kumanta at sumayaw :D


Nalaman ko din kay RJ na may Loboc river dinner din pla..hehe..kaya lng parang di ko feel, kase puro ilaw lang naman makikita eh. Pero same price, so there...

After ng Loboc river cruise, we headed to Chocolate hills. Napakalayo naman pala ng chocolate hills. More or less 1 hour din kami nagbyahe at nakakahilo ha. Zigzag road kse.

While on our way to Chocolate hills, we passed this so called man made forest. Sabi nila ung mga locals daw ang nagtanim ng mga mahogany dito to prevent land slides and floods..tama ba?

Ang ganda-ganda, tapos ang lamig pa ng hangin, napaka-fresh :)

We also went to Butterfly farm. Entrance fee is for PHP10 only. Libre ung kids. Ang ganda, they are assigning a tour guide for each group. Very accommodating ng mga staff.

Ang sarap din nung tindang polovoron, 5 pieces yta un for PHP15 only..yey!

And there the chocolate hills. Akala ko di ako matutuwa dahil nakakapagod ang inakyat naming 200 steps yata un. By the way, entrance fee here is PHP50 yta. Not sure.




Ang cute ng chocolate hills. Ung iba color green at yung iba kulay tsokolate talaga. Nakakatuwa.

After chocolate hills, we went to Baclayon Church. Ang ganda ng church nato. Sabi nila ito yta ung pinakamatanda or isa sa pinakamatandang church sa Pilipinas. Ang ganda wala akong masabi.

Itinuro sa min ni RJ ung wall nung church. nagulat ako. OMG Father Pio??? ang galing. Nakakakilabot. Sa kabilang wall naman ng church, makikita mo ung parang reflection ng mother and child.

After Baclayon church, pumunta na kami sa Aproniana Gift shop. Di na kami bumaba sa Blood Compact Shrine kase di naman kami interesado don :D

Wala kaming pictures sa gift shop, wala namang dapat piktyuran eh *winks*

Mga past 7pm na kami dumating sa resort. I gave RJ a tip for being so nice to us. So pagdating ng resort. Pahinga lang sandali. Di na kami bumaba. Nagpadeliver na lang kami ng food. Pwede naman mag pa room service eh :D

By the way, foods there are soooooooooo cheap, cheap in a way that they are very affordable. Sobrang fresh at sobrang sarap yet very affordable.

We woke up at 5am. kase sabi nila kelangan maaga for dolphin watching dahil may call time sila *winks*

Si RJ din ungnagbigay ng contact para sa island hopping. His name is Dante. He offered us PHP1800 for Dolphin watching, Balicasag and Virgin Island tour. Very affordable. May isa pa syang kasama, un ung nag ooperate ng boat. Ok ung boat, medyo malaki.


Past 5am na nung umalis kami, so saktong nagliliwanag nakikipaghabulan na kami sa mga dolphins hahaha. napakahirap naman palang habulin ng mga dolphins. I called it Dolphin WAITING not WATCHING.

Pero once na may makita ka,, nawawala ung pagkabwisit mo sa tagal ng paghihintay dahil napaka-cute talaga nila!!

Mga 8am, we proceeded to Balicasag Island. Wala na rin gaanong dolphins at excited nakaming mag snorkeling :)

May isang resort sa Balicasag, Balicasag Dive Resort ung name if I'm not mistaken. Di ko alam ung rates eh, kase don sya sa kabilang side. Sa rocky part ng island kami nag stay. Palapit pa lng ng island, kitang-kita mo na ung napakalinaw na tubig.

Ang galing, kase Dante reserved a cottage for us. I guess, lahat ng nagrerent sa kanya don nya dinadala sa tindahan na yun na nagtitinda rin ng mga fresh seafoods paluto.

Ok din dito. Mura din ung mga foods. Uhm..mas mura ng PHP50-100 compare to seafoods paluto at Alona.

Pinili namin ung ulo ng lapu-lapu for sinigang, chicken and pork adobo for breakfast sana kaso naging pang-lunch na rin, at buttered shrimp at isa pang klase ng isda na pina-grilled namin.

Kasama ng 10 kanin and 2 1.5 coke, ung total nung kunain namin is uhm... PHP1600..nagulat ako..ang mura nya. Kase sa dami ng inorder namin un lang ung bill. Kasama n adyan ung PHP300 bayad sa paluto.

Habang niluluto ung food namin, we decided to go for snorkeling. They are offering PHP100 for shoes, di ko alam kung anong tawag don (kelangan daw para di masugatan sa mga corals), PHP100 for tour ride and PHP100 for mask and snorkel.

They also let us rent their DICAPAC for PHP100 for our digicam so that we can use it underwater. Ang adik lang dahil nakalimutan naming ibalik ung memory card, naiwan sa laptop ko sa resort waaahhhhh!!!

Buti na lng may internal memory sya, kase di pede gamitin ung memory card nung DSLR ni Stephen don sa digicam ko. So 12 underwater shots? Not bad *winks*

My mom, dad Ate Dulce and Andrei decided not to join us, pero sabi nila Dante they can feed those fishes for PHP100/pax with 1 tour guide. Libre na si Andrei.

So go pa rin sila, 2 boats kami, sa isang boat nakasakay si Andrei, my mom and Ate Dulce. Sa isang boat kami ng papa ko at ni Stephen.

And WOW!!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! wala akong masabi sa ganda ng marine sacntuary. Tama ung sinabi ni RJ, para syang mushroom na mababaw lng pero ung bandang duo as in open water na. Sobrang lalim na.

And I saw lots of fishes. Ang bait ng guide nila Andrei dahil inihuli sya ng NEMO, nilagay nila sa bote ng 1.5 coke na pinutol sa gitna. Pero ibabalik din syempre ung fish bago kami umalis.

After more or less 2 hours na pagbababad, we decided to go back to our cottage. medyo masakit na sa balat ung init at pupunta pa king Virgin Island after lunch.

Pagbalik namin ready na ung lunch. Bongga!! daming food!! After kumain, pahinga ng konti and then go na sa Virgin Island.

More or less than 30 minutes din ung boat ride from Balicasag to Virgin Island. Habang papalapit kami, kitang-kita ung napakagandang sandbar. Korteng letter C ..actually parang letter U sya..ahhh basta!! :)

Virgin Island

Maraming nagtitinda ng sea urchins dito,, pede palang kainin un?? nilalagyan lng ng suka and they are sellinf them for PHP20 each.

Nyii...katakot, di nga ko bumili...


Ang ganda ng Virgin Island. clear water, white sand. Ung sands dito di kase powdery ng sand sa Alona, pero para syang sugar, makintab..parang sands sa Potipot Island.

After more than 1 hour ng pagka-amazed sa isla, bumalik na kami sa resort para magkapagpahinga. Ang iitim na rin kase namin. Hehe

After maligo at magpahinga, natulog muna kami. Sila lang pala, kase nag uupload ako ng mga pictures.

Mga 3pm I decided to bought pizza. Dahil katabi lang namin ung Hayahay resort and I've heard masarap daw ang pizzas dito.


We ordered 4 seasons ba un..4 seasons seafood?? meron ba non? Basta un.. meron syang shrimps, squids, etc. PHP300+ lang sya. very affordable. Masarap kse crunchy. Parang biscuit lng LOL

After magpa room servoce for dinner, naglakad-lakad muna kami.

Last night in Island Paradise

Ang bigat ng pakiramdam paggising ko. Wala akong sakit ha..mabigat lang pakiramdam ko kase uuwi na kami :(

After 3 nights of sleeping in Island Paradise..hayy, it's so hard to leave Bohol. Pero bago ako umalis ng Alona Beach ang nasabi ko na lang.
